Baby's first dental visit in Waterdown. Gentle infant exams covering teething, feeding habits and early cavity risk. Book at (289) 799-3355.
The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first dental visit by your baby’s first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Most parents are surprised by how early that is, but the first year is when habits form and when early problems are easiest to prevent. An infant exam is short, gentle, and mostly a conversation. Your baby usually sits on your lap, knee-to-knee with the dentist, and the whole thing takes minutes.

We are committed to early prevention and helping every child in Waterdown get a healthy start. We provide free dental exams for all infants and toddlers from birth up to their third birthday.
Just as importantly, we cover the things that actually cause problems in the first three years: bedtime bottles, sippy cup habits, night nursing, teething relief that works, how to clean teeth that have barely erupted, and when fluoride becomes appropriate. Parents leave with a clear plan rather than a pamphlet.
Early childhood caries (sometimes called baby bottle tooth decay) can develop remarkably fast in children under three, and often begins on the upper front teeth where it is easy to miss. Caught at the white-spot stage it can frequently be reversed without any drilling at all. Caught late it may require sedation and crowns. That gap is the entire argument for the age-one visit.
Yes. The visit is as much about prevention and parent coaching as it is about the teeth themselves.
Possibly, and that is completely fine. Crying actually gives us a good view. The exam takes under two minutes.
Teething can cause mild irritability, drooling and slightly raised temperature, but a true fever is not caused by teething and should be assessed by your physician.
We are welcoming founding families ahead of our September 2026 opening in Waterdown.
